It is kind of funny that John McCain considers himself a republican, and even worse his as-liberal-as-they-come daughter does too.  And they think they’re doing the party a favor by showing how “progressive” the republican party can be.  Meghan is oh-so inclusive, “I’m pro-life, but you don’t have to be.” Thankfully, the conservative movement is afoot and we can ignore the lame efforts of this almost president’s daughter, I mean this nobody.

I guess, who really cares right? But, she does have a public platform because of her name so it is important to show that she does not speak for the party.  While she tries to distance the party from Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham we will continue to try and distance ourselves from her.

I have been struggling these past few weeks with all the hypocrisy, double speak, and outright shenanigans that are going on in our country right now.  Obama and his band of idiots have been running hog wild with not rhyme, reason or any real wide spread resistance.  While opposition is mounting Obama has had a free ride so far and done far more than anyone could have ever imagined in such a short amount of time.  It has been barely 2 months and I can’t imagine how the next 46 are going to go.

I will try to continue posting on a daily basis, but the jaw-dropping, mind-numbing assault on common sense and reason that has been launched by Obama and his cronies are making it difficult for me to focus.

My mom used to make me a cold cheese sandwich everyday for school lunch. I love ‘em! Two slices of white bread, two slices of cheese product and a little mayo and I was good to go.  The fact of the matter is a lot of people have problems with a cheese sandwich…even a free one.

Toxic Assets? By the government’s definition a toxic asset would be any asset for which you paid more for than its present value. Wouldn’t that make most assets toxic? My car sure is. So are all the appliances I have in my house.  Hell, so is my house.

Listening to the Bama can be a lot like watching a magic show.  You know what is going on isn’t real, but you just can’t put your finger on why or how.  Smoke and Mirrors my friends, Smoke and Mirrors.

I have often written about the duplicity of the Bama and how it makes my head want to explode. I have been putting together a piece on the hypocrisy of liberalism.  In the meantime, here is a great short on the contradictions of socialism.

Not that anyone even reads my blog but I just need to know something…what the hell is going on in this country? When did America become NOTAmerica? I can appreciate the liberal train of thought, I vehemently disagree with it, but I can appreciate what they are trying to say.  In other words, yes, all those things you are saying would be nice, BUT…”

Earlier today I posted a link to the Communist Party of the United States in my blogspotdrop of the day. Their mission, transforming America into a Communist state, is clearly outlined on their site for all to read.  Check out a sample here.  It is scary, like totally f*$%ing f&^#ed up how in step their mission is with the Bama agenda.  CRAZY!!!!

So, from where I sit it seems the Democratic agenda, and the party as a whole, has progressed so far left that there is little distinction between Liberalism and Communism.  We are no longer arguing simple points of welfare or welfare reform, blue America-red America; this is a battle of FREEDOM versus fascism.

What I do not understand is how all these artists and bleeding hearts who thrive so much on individualism and self expression can stand behind a government bent on curtailing as many individual freedoms and choices as possible.  It is really weird to me.

I just don’t get it…

I hate stoplights.  They always seem to get in the way more than they help.  I live in a rural area so my disdain for stoplights might be more than most (I am sure some stoplights work quite effectively in major cities), but I assure you, stoplights are the perfect analogy of Obamerica.

The town where I live had no stop lights for most of my childhood. As I grew, so did the town’s population, and so did the number of stoplights. Now there’s a stoplight hanging over practically every intersection in town.

I leave my house around 6:30am for work each day. There are few cars on the road at that time. Still, I invariably get stopped at the same light every morning. Often times I am the ONLY person on the road, not to mention the only person at the stoplight. As I impatiently wait the light runs its course and 30seconds to a minute later changes so I can “safely” proceed through the scantily trafficked intersection. Frustrating to say the least.

At another light it is not uncommon for a dozen travelers to be forced to abruptly stop so a single car can make a left turn.  There we are, a dozen or so cars riding smoothly to our various destinations only to be stopped so one car can make a turn.

Alright, so what the hell am I talking about?

I said at the top that stoplights are the perfect analogy for government and in particular Obamerica.  You see, I believe that on my own, I can safely egress through those intersections without the stoplight’s “help.”  I would venture to say that 99% of other drivers can too.  On most occasions drivers, left to their own senses and driving experience, would make the right choices and keep traffic moving smoothly and safely without the interference of a stoplight.  Maybe the one person trying to make that left turn would have to wait another 15 seconds before the traffic cleared on its own, but it would, and the driver could make his turn in time.

Stoplights are the perfect example of the extreme nannyism and micromanagement philosophy of Obamerica.  The mantra holds that, I as a citizen am not capable of making such important decisions as should I stop or should I go. ONLY government can ease the pains and stresses of traffic and turning decisions.  Through stoplights the government levels the playing field of the time people must wait at a light, making sure even the sole left turner is not denied the expedience granted to a dozen or more drivers not seeking to make such a turn.

The idea breaks down to “punish many to reward few.”  Forget that 99 people travel fine without the interference of government stoplights. If 1, a single 1, driver is left behind or worse, gets into an accident, then it is time to change the entire system and make sure there is a more level playing field for all.

It might be argued that I am selfish.  Why wouldn’t I mind waiting a few seconds so someone else can go? To that I say that the one person who is willing to force a dozen others to stop is the selfish one.

Stoplights, like government, have their place.  But it is the extreme nannystate that we are creating that is hurting many so as to “help” few.  Let me make up mind and I’ll get to work on time…

I’m not giving up. I don’t feel any less passionate about the dire consequences our country faces due to the Bama’s policy binge.  But I am running out of steam.

How can people suggest Obama has gained political capital in the 6 weeks he has been president? He has been awash with mismanaged vetting processes and resigning heads of administrations.  He continually speaks out of both sides of his mouth; aburptly abondoning campaign promises of earmark reform, transparency, and bipartisanship, to name a few. Every time he speaks the market tumbles further.  In five weeks he has spent more money than anyone in the history of the world. Yet he has gained political capital?

I understand hardcore leftists  standing behind their man; that is why they voted for him.  But for the blue-dogs and the moderates and “independants,” it might be time to reevaluate your position.

I realize we are only six weeks in, but I am losing hope in the American people.  We are a country founded on discomfort and sacrifice. For hundreds of years immigrants have come to this country with nothing but the hope of anything.  These people uprooted their entire lives to have even a small taste of freedom, to have their own chance at success or failure. They didn’t mind living in squaller as they worked 3 jobs, 7 days a week just to put food on the table.

We don’t even need to go back that far though.  We all have grandparents or even parents who sacrficed to better the lot of their kin.  Our parents and grandparents didn’t own flat screens (or whatever their equivalents were), or four cars, or a spa retreat master suite.  They didn’t go on vacations to Bahamas, or purchase investment real estate for flipping.  Our forefathers all lived within their means and didn’t want or expect the government to do anything for them except get out of their way.

How quickly we have become a society of entitlement.  Everyone has the right to free healthcare.  Everyone has the right to own a home.  Everyone has the right to everything they want.

I mean for f&%cks sake, heaven forbid someone have more than someone else.  God forbid someone fail while someone else succeeds.  Don’t play dodgeball or tag because someone gets out.

OJ was found innocent…the last thing we need is a terrorist to receive the same rights and opportunties that allowed OJ to be free for 10+ years.

How about that great leader we have, Commander in Chief Barry H. Obama? Does this guy know how to rally the troops or what?

Look, we WON in Iraq. We WON! But all this guy can talk about is getting us out of there.  Never a mention of the sacrifices and accomplishments of our dedicated military, Obama prefers to revel in the past and continue the George Bush blame game.

Obama needs to start taking ownership of the war in Iraq and begin celebrating our victory and accomplishments instead of continuing to take jabs at George W like he is still on the campaign trail.  For someone who wants to get away from the last 8 years he sure spends a lot of time dwelling there.

Stand up, salute the flag and our troops, and announce to our country that because we have achieved VICTORY in Iraq our troops can now safely come home. Instead we get this, “By August 31, 2010, our combat mission in Iraq will come to an end.” Pretty pathetic. I am pretty sure this guy is not feeling the f*&k out of America.
